Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Personal Chef and a Private Chef?  A Personal Chef is someone who has a passion for cooking and a desire to share their love of cooking with those that are too busy to get delicious and nutritious meals on the table.  Generally a Personal Chef has several clients, usually one per day, and prepares and packages multiple meals in the clients home to be enjoyed at the client's convenience.  A Private Chef cooks for one family, preparing all of their meals on a daily basis.

Isn't a Personal Chef expensive?  Having your own Personal Chef is more affordable then you might realize.  Consider the money you spend each month on restaurant meals, convenience meals, fast food, and spoiled groceries that you never got around to preparing.  Now factor in the time spent planning meals, shopping, cooking and cleaning and you'll soon realize that having your own Personal Chef makes sense.

How long will you be in my kitchen?  This depends on the package chosen and the complexity of the menu.  Generally you can expect that I'll be in your home somewhere between 4-6 hours.

Do I need to be home while you are there?  No, as a matter of fact most of my clients are at work while I'm cooking.  If you happen to be home on cheffing day, I only ask that distractions in the kitchen be kept to a minimum so that I can focus on preparing quality meals in a safe and timely manner.

Can you accommodate special diets?  Absolutely!  I'm a Personal Chef!

What is your cooking style/specialty?  Using fresh, high quality ingredients is a constant.  Although I can accommodate a wide range of palates,  I tend to take a healthier approach to cooking.  Along the way I have discovered that many of our favorite foods can be delicious, satisfying and good for you too!
